RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ANaHEIM h1AKING ITS REPORT ANC
RECOMMENDATION AS TO THE CONFORMITY OF THE
PROPOSED REDEVELOP~~IENT PLAN FOR THE WEST
ANAHEIM COMMERCIAL CORRIDORS
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT WITH THE ANAHEIM
GENERALPLAN
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") is proposing to
add territory (the "Amendment Area") to the existing Brookhurst Commercial Corridor
Redevelopment Project Area and change said project name to the West Anaheim Commercial
Corridors Redevelopment Project Area (the "ProjecY'); and
WHEREAS, the Agency has prepared a Redevelopment Plan for the Project
pursuant to the requ~rements of the Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code
Section 33000 et seq.l; and
WHER.EAS, in accordance with Section 33346 and 33347 of the California Health
and Safety Code, thr; Redeveiopment Plan for the Project was submitted to the Planning
Commission for its repor4 and recommendation concerning tlie Redevelopment Plan and its
conformity to the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said Redevelopment Pian;
and
WHEREAS, ths Redevelopment Plan for the proposed Project shall be consistent
with the City of Anaheim General Plan, and shall remain consistent in the event that the City of
Anaheim General Plan is amended in the future; and
WHEREAS, the Project does not create inconsistencies between the
Redevelopment Plan and the General Pian.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Cammission of the City of Anaheim does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim hereby finds and
determines that the Redevelopment Plan is in conformity with the General Plan of the City of
Anaheim.
SECTION 2: The Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim hereby finds and
determines that the location, purpose and extent of any acquisition or disposition of real property
for street, square, park or other public purpose by the Agency for the purposes of carrying out the
Redevelopment Plan conforms wiih the General Plan of the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 3: The Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim
is hereby authorized to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the City Council of the Ciry of
Anaheim and to the Redevelopment Agency, as prescribed in Section 33347 of the Health and
Safety Code.
