A RESOLUTION OF THE ANANEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS IN CONNECTION WITH
CONDITIONAL U8E PERMIT NO, 649 AND VARIANCE NO. 788
WHEREAS, on November 9, 1964, Conditional Use Permi; No. 649 was approved under
Resolution No. 1416, Series 1964-65, by the Commission to pe-mit operation of a training center in the
CO "Commercial, Office and Professional" Zone on property located northwest of the northwest comer of
La Paima Avenue and Brookhurst Street, and that no action was taken by the City Council; and
WI-IEREAS, on July 22, 1957, Variance No. 788 was granted under Resolution No. 12,
Series 1957-58, by the Planning Commission to erect a sign on property located northwest of the
interchange of La Palma Avenue and ?he Santa Ana Freeway, and that no action was taken by the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, this property is currently devEloped with a vacant industrial complex in the
ML "Limited Indusirial" Zone, and that the southwest portion of the property has been acquired by
CalTrans in connection with the I-5/Santa Ana Freeway widening project; and
WHEREAS, James Choi, Acting Chair of the Building Committee for Sarang
Presbyterian Church of Southem Califomia, has submitted a letter requesting tennination of Conditional
Use Permit No. 649 and Variance No. 788 to comply with Condition No. 18 of Conditional Use Permit
No. 3954 (permitting a church in the existing 85,000 sq, ft. industrial building).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby terminate all proceedings in connection with Conditional Use Permit No. 649 and Variance
No. 788 on the basis of the fo~agoing findings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the Planning Commission meeting of
May 27, 1998.
