A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMI~~~ION
TERMINATING ALL PROC[EDINGS IN CO~dNECTION WITH
GONDITIQNAL USE PERMIT MOS. 620 AND 2430, AND VARIANCE NO. 838
WHEREAS, Variance No. 638 permiEted use of an existing dweiling for a rest home for
the aged at 1501 and 1503 West Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, on August 31, 1964, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 1319
to grant Conditionai Use Permit ~40. 620 and permit the expansion of church schooi facilities in
conjunction with an existing :hurch at 1501 and 1503 West Kateila Avenue with waiver of the required
height limit to allow a freestanding cross; and
WHEREAS, on April 4, 1983, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. PC83-73
to grant Conditional Use Permit No. 2430 and permit a private pre-school with a maximum enrollment of
62 children in an existing church facility at 1501 and 1503 West Katella Avenue with waiver of minimum
number of parking spaces; and
WHEREAS, this pro~erty consists of two parcels: Parcel No. 1 is developed with a two-
story 12-bedroom dormitory in th~ CL (Commercial, Limited) zone and Parcel No. 2 is developed with a
Budd'nist temole, a one-story office building and a two-story classroom building in the RS-A-43,000
(Residential/Agricultural) zone; and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1998, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No.
PC98-18 to grant Conditional Use Permit No. 3996, in part, to construct a Buddhist Temple with a storage
basement and a classroom build~ng with waivers on subject property; and that said resolution require~
that the property owner submit a letter to the Zonirg Division requesting termination of the subject zoning
petitions (Condition No. 12); and
WHEREAS, Chueh Hsu, has submitted a letter requesting termination of these zoning
petitions to comply with the above-mentioned condition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby terminate all proceedings in connection with Conditional Use Permit Nos. 620 and 2430, and
Variance No. 838 on the basis of the foregoing findin s.
