RESOLUTION NO. 7lR- 232
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING THAT ALL PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY SHOULD BE EXE~~T FROM COUNTY STRUC-
TURAL FIRE PROTECTION TAX.
WHEREAS, Section 25643 of the Government Code of the
State of California establishes the procedure whereby property
within incorporate~ cities may be exempt from county tax levies
for structural fire protection; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds after due study and
deliberation that all of the qualifications for said exemption
exist and are as follows:
1. That the City of Anaheim has an organized Fire
Department in operation and existence at the
present time.
2. That said Fire Department is providing adequate
structural fire protection to all property within
the incorporated limits of the City.
3. That no additional benefit in fire protection is
received or required by such property from struc-
tural fire protection given by the County of Orange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a petition be presented to the Orange
County Board of Supervisors, in writing, requesting the exclu-
sion of all property within the City of Anaheim fram the levy
of taxes for structural fire protection, and that the City
Manager of the City of An~leim be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to so petition the said Board of Supervisors and
to provide them with a certified copy of this resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1st day of June, 1971.

RESOLUTION NO. 71R-231
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNC~L OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEcr)l DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AliD FIXING A DATE FOR
HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the. Ci.ty of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article .5 of the
Government Code in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of certain real property hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use portions of roadways,
alleys and easements as they may relate to the following des-
cribed property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:
That certain public utility easement located in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State. of California,
as said easement is described in the deed recorded in
Book 2159, page 399, Official Records of said county,
to be abandoned, described as an easement for either or
both pole lines, conduits and incidental purposes lying
within one foot of the following described line:
Beginning at a point in the north line of the west
72.775 feet of the east 362.775 feet of the we.st 6 acres
of the north 10 acres of the east 13 acres of the north
18 acres of the east 30 acres, distant 12.5 feet easterly
measured thereon from the west line thereof; thence
southerly parallel with said west line 230 feet.
and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5
of the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for
hearing all persons. intereste.d in or objecting to the proposed
vacation and abandonment has been fixed on the 22nd day of
June , 1971, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ci.ty Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be publiShed in a manner prescribed by law in the Anaheim
Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1st day of June, 1971.
