71R-212 RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 212 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KliOWN AND DESIGNATED LINCOLN-MONTEREY ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission author- ized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government Code; and WHE.REAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said Ci ty of Anaheilu is si tuated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is inhabi ted te.rri tory. Tha t said consent contained a description of said terri tory in words and figures as he.reinafter in this resolution described; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 and Section 54790 (.g) of the Government. Code. NOW 1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Counci 1 of the City of Anaheim finds: That the City of Anahe~ submitted proof satisfactory to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners of land wi thi.n the territory proposed to be annexed h.ave qi ven their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Ananeim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is inhabited territory. That. said consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described. That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri- tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and said Local Agency Formation commission approved said annexa- tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 and Section 54790(.g) of the Government Code. That on the 14th day of April, 1971, the. Local Agency Fo~ation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 71-31 in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 and Section 54790(9) of the Government Code and further approved such annexation of said territory without notice or hearing. That the Local Agency Fo~ation Commission further by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the requirement that an election be held by the City on the question of said annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the te.rri- tory included within the boundaries of the LINCOLN-MONTEREY ANNEXATION, more particularly described as follows, to wit: -1- LINCOLN'-MONTEREY ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Brookhurst-Lincoln Annexation with the south line of the north 66.00 feet of the Northeast one- quarter of Section 18, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, the north line of said Northeast one-quarter being the survey centerline of Lincoln Avenue: thence Following along the existing City limit lines of the City of Anaheim per said Brookhurst-Lincoln Annexation, the Broadway-Brookhurst Annexation and the Broadway-La Palma Annexation, the following courses and distances: South 00 071 36" East, 600.82 feet, South 8So 581 20" West, 990.21 feet, North 00 071 5511 West, 430.70 feet to an intersection with the south line of the north 236 feet of said Northeast one-quarter of Section 18: thence Leaving said existing City limit line North 880 581 00" East, 49 feet along said south line: thence North ')0 071 55" West, 170.02 feet parallel with the west line of the Northeast one-quarter of the North- east one-quarter of said Section 18 to an intersection with a line parallel with and 66 feet southerly of the ~::iF=tR!==! -2- ..-,.,-.,.. ...~_--., _. .......... :: :.,.,.... _.......,..~..._._".- ..."""'"'---~... .........._ _-110 .~~.....,...,-"1I..J..::'I":.w..;..:~...I.~~.-.............~____.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and afte.r the date of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California, the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the property wi th.in the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anahe.im contracted prior to or existing at the time of suCh annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this resolution.
