RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 207
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE.IM AUTHORI.ZING PURCHASES OF CERTAIN
ITEMS FOR THE CITY BY THE PURCHASING AGENT
OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS, it is permissib1e under Secti.ons '51301, et se'q.,
of the Government Code of the State of California to. contract with
the County to per.form certain functions for tne City; and
WHEREAS, it appears that it is possible.' to. acquire cer-
tain items consistent with the City's centralized purchasing
system at a substantially lower cost by having them purchased by
the County; and
WHEREAS, it is, therefore, the desire of the City Council
to contract wi.th the County for the County Purchasing Agen.t to
purchase certain items for the City under the conditions herein-
after set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci.ty Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim hereby agrees with
the County of Orange that the Purchasing Agent for the County
shall purchase for the City at the request of the City Manager of
the City of Anaheim gasoline and other items required by the City
of Anaheim regularly purchased by the County as may be. designated
from time to time by the City Manager.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby agree.s. .to
pay the expenses and costs incurred by the County in performing
the servi.ces for the City wi.thin lS days after being bi.lled. for
the same, provided such expenses and costs incurred in any month
are billed to the City prior to the end of the fOllowing month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon the approval of the
terms of this resolution by the Board of Supervisors, it shall
constitute a contract between the City of Anaheim and the County
of Orange, which .said contr.act shall commence on the ls'1; day of
July, 1971, and shall te~inate on the 30th day of June, 1976.
