A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
FOR REMOVAL OF EXISTING RAILROAD CROSSINGS
AND CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS
AT KNOTT AVENUE AND BALL ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has considered entering into an
agreement for the Union Pacific Railroad to remove the existing railroad crossings and construct
~~ street improvements at the intersection of Knott Avenue and Ball Road in the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that removal of the designated Union Pacific (old
Southern Pacific Railroad) crossings is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF
ANAHEIM AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby authorizes the Director of Public
Works to enter into an agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad to remove the existing railroad
crossings and construct street improvements as specified by the City at Knott Avenue and Ball
Road, and to execute all documents, amendments to documents and any other submissions or
approvals required for that purpose.

2. Any agreement executed by the Director of Public Works pursuant to this resolution
shalt be substantially similar in terms and conditions to the draft agreement submitted herewith.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and adopted at the regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12~h day of July , 2005, by the
following roll-call vote:
