RESOLUTION NO. 82R-405
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS
TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR AND AGAINST
BALLOT PROPOSITIONS RELATING TO THE PRESENT
INTEREST RATE LIMIT ON CERTAIN ELECTRIC AND WATER
REVENUE BONDS.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in
the City of Anaheim on November 2, 1982, at which there will be
submitted to the qualified electors of the City the following
ballot propositions:
BALLOT PROPOSITION NO. 1
The proposition to be submitted to the voters shall be
as follows:
In order to provide a more economical market
for the remaining electric revenue bonds
authorized by a majority of the voters in
1975 to provide more economical electric
service, shall City Council Resolution No.
74R-61S be amended to eliminate from such
Resolution the maximum rate of interest
(eight percent) which may be paid on such
bonds and to provide instead in such
Resolution that the City Council shall, at or
prior to the time of sale of any such bonds,
establish by resolution a maximum rate of
interest which may be paid on the bonds then
being sold?
BALLOT PROPOSITION NO. 2
The proposition to be submitted to the voters shall be
as follows:
In order to provide a more economical market
for the remaining water revenue bonds auth-
orized by a majority of the voters in 1978,
shall City Council Resolution No. 78R-533 be
amended to eliminate from such Resolution the
maximum rate of interest (eight percent) which
may be paid on such bonds and to provide in-
stead in such Resolution that the City Council
shall, at or prior to the time of sale of any
such bonds, establish by resolution a maximum
rate of interest which may be paid on the
bonds then being sold?

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l.
That this City Council, being the legislative body of the
City of Anaheim, hereby authorizes

BEN BAY, MAYOR PRO TEM
MIRIAM KAYWOOD
E. LLEWELLYN OVERHOLT, JR.
IRV PICKLER
members of said body, to file a written argument for the City meas-
ure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Section sOl3
of the Elections Code of the state of California and to change said
argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after
which no arguments for or against said measure may be submitted.
SECTION 2.
That this City Council, being the legislative body of the
City of Anaheim, hereby authorizes

member of said bOdy, to file a written argument against the City
measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Section
SOl3 of the Elections Code of the State of Callfornia and to change
said argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk
after which no arguments for or against said measure may be
submitted.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of August, 1982.
