1982-506 RESOLUTION NO. 82R-S06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSES DESIGNATED AS SUPPORT AND SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 81R-SOO AND AMENDMENTS THERETO. WHEREAS, the rates of compensation for General and Clerical Unit represented job classes will be adjusted effective October 8, 1982, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to adjust rates of compensation for related Support and Supervisory Management classes by superseding Resolution No. 81R-SOO and amendments thereto; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: Section 1. That effective October 8, 1982 the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any of the classifications listed below shall be allocated to the following salary schedules in the Salary Schedule Master. Effective October 8, 1982, employees working in job classifications listed in Section 1 of this resolution shall receive an addition to the management package making the total Management package equal to the City-paid employee contribution to the retirement system of 7.01 for miscellaneous members, and 6.01 for Fire Battalion Chief, Fire Marshal, Fire Service Officer, and Police Lieutenant. The employee shall have the choice of receiving the Managememt package in City-paid contribution to the Public Employee Retirement System, or the equivalent amount in deferred compensation, or additional earnings. Section 3. In order for the rates of pay listed herein to be implemented on the effective date of this resolution, each Department Head must affirm that each employee in the classes listed herein is performing satisfactorily. Otherwise, the employee shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until the appropriate Department Head affirms that the services of the employee have been found to be satisfactory. At such time an employee shall have his salary adjusted effective on the first day of the pay period in which the appropriate Department Head affirms that the services of the employee have been found to be satisfactory and shall retain his salary step status in the newly authorized salary schedule and shall retain the same anniversary date for purposes of merit pay increases. Section 4. The letter "un preceding a schedule number indicates that employees up-graded to that job class shall be paid premium pay as provided in Personnel Rule 6.41, Premium Pay. The letter "S" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees in that job class shall be eligible for consideration for merit pay increases as provided in Personnel Rule 4.17, Appropriate Salary Step. The letter "J" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees working in that job class may be paid a rate of five percent (5.01) below the "A" step of the salary schedule for that job class, as provided in Personnel Rule 4.42, Appropriate Salary Step. - 5 - . .......... ........'!' . -. ..........:...._... ....~...__.~............_..~_....._:o....._.__ __......--_....................... ... Section 5. The regular hourly rate of pay and overtime compensation for employees working in job classes listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day and Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay. Section 6. The letter "X" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees working in that job class are exempt from overtime provisions as provided in Personnel Rule 6.04, Premium Pay. Section 7. The provisions of this resolution shall supersede Resolution No. 81R-500 and amendments thereto.
