RESOLUTION NO. 82R~15
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEY-
ING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES. (R/W #2800-4)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for
municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes; and
~lHEREAS, the owner of said property has offered to sell
and convey the same to the City; and
~JHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of the SOUTHERN PACIFIC
TRANSPORTATION COMPANY to sell to the City of Anaheim the
following described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, state of California, to be used for an easement
for road and public utility purposes, and more particularly
described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes
over, under and across the easterly 17.75 feet of
Lot 61 of the Original Town Lots of Anaheim, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and
630 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County,
California,
be, and the same is hereby, accept.ed by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance of said
property, provided, however, that nothing herein shall be construed
to be an acceptance of any parcel or property into the City street
system (Section 1806 Streets and Highways Code).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Accounting Officer of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to issue a warrant
and pay t.o the owner of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim and charged to Account No. l3-792-710l-E2580,
the sum of Twenty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Fifteen Dollars
($25,615.00).
