1982-524 RESOLUTION NO. 82R-524 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE COM- MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS SANTA ANA CANYON NO. 11 ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to annex into its boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited territory as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the full range of municipal services to said territory in order to better serve the needs of said property, its owners and inhabitants; and WHEREAS, said city desires this resolution to be deemed a resolution of application proposing a change of organization pursuant to Sections 35140 and 35110 of the Government Code of the state of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. That said unincorporated and uninhabited territory be, and the same is hereby, designated as .Santa Ana Canyon No. 11 Annexation to the Ci ty of Anaheim,. and the boundar ies of said affected territory are legally described as follows: That certain parcel of land lying within the unincor- porated territory of the County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of the \~est one-half of Section 32, Township 3 South, Range 8 West, S.B.B. & M., described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of the Esperanza- Carrillo Annexation to the City of Anaheim; thence N 720 10' 54- E, along the southerly line of the Bryant Ranch Annexation 78-02 to the Ci ty of Yorba Linda, 888.00 feet; thence S 170 49' 06- W, 50.00 feet; thence N 720 10' 54" E, along said southerly line, 538.61 feet to the beginning of a curve, said point of beginning having a radial line passing through it bearing N 170 49' 06- W, said curve concave -1. . northwesterly and having a radius of 3,681.10 feet; thence Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 200 15' 15", an arc distance of 1,301.28 feet to a point, said point having a radial line through it bearing S 380 04' 51" E; thence S 00 43' 35" E, along the easterly boundary line of a Record of Survey, as filed in Book 90, page 50 of Record of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence continuing along the boundary lines of said Record of Survey the following courses and distances: S 600 44' 49" W, 875.70 feet; thence S 170 41' 08. W, 848.82 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northerly and having a radius of 1,250.00 feet; thence Westerly along said curve through a central angle of 090 07' 30. an arc distance of 199.08 feet; thence N 860 31' 48., 298.94 feet; thence N 290 22' 00. W, 561.88 feet to a point on the southerly boundary line of said Esperanza-Carrillo Annexation; thence N 620 23' 49" E, 1,239.37 feet; thence N 060 40' 31. That the reason for the proposed change of organization is to provide full municipal services to an unincorporated area in an efficient and economical manner. 5. That the Ci ty of Anaheim is hereby designated as the chief petitioner with regard to this application and the mailing address of said petitioner is as follows: City of Anaheim c/o Planning Director P. O. Box 3222 Anaheim, California 92803 6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby request that annexa- tion proceedings be taken and commenced for a change of organiza- tion in connection wi th the hereinabove described unincorporated territory pursuant to the provisions of said Municipal Organization Act of 1977. 7. That, pursuant to the prOVISIons of paragraph 6(a)(2) of that certain l~aster Property Tax Transfer Agreement between the County of Orange and the Ci ty of Anaheim dated October 28, 1980 ("Agreement"), the County Administrative Office and the City Manager, or their designees, have heretofore agreed that said territory to be annexed to the City of Anaheim shall be deemed and treated as "undeveloped" property for purposes of said Agreement.
