RESOLUTION NO. 82R-545
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM TERMINATING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
LOS ANGELES AND SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE TRANSMISSION
OF ELECTRICITY FOR POWER PURPOSES IN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, on November 1, 1934, the City of Anaheim entered
into an agreement with the Los Angeles and Salt Lake "Railroad
Company for the transmission of electricity for power purposes in
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the property covered by said agreement has
subsequently been transferred and the structures and wires "pursuant
to said agreement have been relocated as "a result of which the
agreement is no longer necessary; and
WHEREAS, it is in the mutual best interest of both parties
to terminate said agreement; and
WHEREAS, a termination rider has been submitted by the
Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company, the terms and conditions
whereof are satisfactory to the parties thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that it does hereby approve the termination rider
by the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company for agreement
dated November 1, 1934, for the transmission of electricity for
power purposes of certain properties formerly owned by said
railroad.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Cle'trk are
authorized to execute said agreement termination.
THE FOREGOING RESOLIrrION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of November,
19 82 .
