RESOLUTION NO. 82R-572
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION POST SIGNS ON THE NORTHBOUND
SANTA ANA FREEWAY (1-5) OFF-RAMP AT SOUTH STREET
PROHIBITING TRUCKS FROM EXITING AT THIS OFF-RAMP.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has determined that a
problem exists with trucks exiting from the northbound Santa
Ana Freeway to South Street in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, trucks exiting through this off-ramp
access a residential area and cause noise and traffic conges-
tion with the residential users of this area; and
WHEREAS, South Street is not on the City of Anaheim
truck route ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is almost impossible if a truck does
exit at South Street because of the design and location of
the City streets to return to the freeway; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transporta-
tion has been contacted concerning the installation of a
sign and has no objections for such installation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it does hereby request that a
sign be posted by the California Department of Transportation
declaring that trucks shall not be allowed to debark from
northbound Santa Ana Freeway (1-5) off-ramp at South Street.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 30th day of
November, 1982.
