RESOLUTION NO. 62R-588
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 81R-502
AND AMENDMENTS THERETO AND ADJUSTING RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT.
WHEREAS, the need has been established for adjusting rates of
compensation for oertain exeoutive management olassifications: and
WHEREAS. as a result thereof. the need exists to supersede
Resolution No. 81R-502 and amendments theretoi and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
adjusting the rates of oompensation for these exeoutive management olassifioa-
tions 1s in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the C1ty of
Anaheim as follows:
Seotion 1.
The basic oompensation plan for all offioers and employees of the
City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed 1n any
of the classifications listed below shall be allocated to the following salary
sohedules in the Salary Schedule Master.

Section 2.
That effective October 8. 1982. employees working in job
classifications listed in Section 1 of this resolution shall receive an
addition to the management package making the total management package equal
to the City-paid employee contribution to the retirement system of seven
percent (7J). The employee shall have the choioe or reoeiving the management
package in City-paid contribution to the Public Employee Retirement System. or
the equivalent amount in deferred oompensation or additional earnings.
Section 3.
In order for the rates of pay listed herein to be implemented, the
performance of each officer and employee in the classes herein listed shall be
appropriately evaluated and the incumbent officers and employees may be placed
on any step in the above salary schedule based on satisfactory performance
evaluation. Otherwise, the officer or employee shall be compensated at his
existing rate of pay until it is appropriately determined that the performance
of said officer or employee warrants assignment to a different step. At suoh
time as it is determined that an increase in pay is warranted through
performance evaluation, the officer or employee may be placed on any higher
step in the designated salary schedule effeotive the first day of the pay
period in which the determination is made.
Section 4.
The letter "X" preceding a schedule number indicates that
employees working in that job class are exempt from overtime provisions as
provided in Personnel Rule 6.04, Premium Pay.
Seotion 5.
The regular hourly rate of pay for employees working In job
classes listed in this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel
Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day.
