A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO.
81R-S01 AND AMENDMEm'S THERE'IO AND ADJUSTING
RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS
DESIGNATED AS ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT.
WHEREAS, the need has been established for adjusting rates of
compensation for certain administrative management classifications; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to supersede
Resolution No. 81R-501 and amendments thereto: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
adjusting the rates of c~nsation for these administrative management
classifications is in the best interests of the City of Anahe~.
N(J\1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
Section 1.
The basic c~nsation plan for all officers and employees of the
City of Anaheim who are now enployed or will in the future be enployed in any
of the classifications listed below shall be allocated to the following salary
schedules in the Salary Schedule Master.

Section 2.
Employees working in jOb classifications listed in Section 1 of
this resolution shall receive an addition to the management package making the
total management package equal to the City-paid employee contribution to the
retirement system of seven (7%) percent. The enp10yee shall have the choice
of receiving the management package in City-paid contribution to the Public
Employee Retirement System, or the equivalent amount in deferred compensation
or additional earnings.
The effective date for each job classification receiving the addition to the
management package is listed below.

Section 3.
In order for the rates of pay listed herein to be implemented, the
performance of each ~loyee in the classes herein listed shall be
appropriately evaluated and the incumbent employees may be placed on any step
in the above salary schedule based on satisfactory performance evaluation.
Otherwise, the employee shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until
it is appropriately determined that the performance of said employee warrants
assignment to a different step. At such time as it is detenmined that an
increase in pay is warranted through performance evaluation, the enployee may
be placed on any higher step in the designated salary schedule effective the
first day of the pay period in which the determination is made.
Section 4.
The letter .X. preceding a schedule number indicates that
employees working in that jOb class are exempt fram overtime provisions as
provided in Personnel Rule 6.04, Premium Pay.
Section 5.
The regular hourly rate of pay for enployees working in jOb
classes listed in this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel
Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day.
Section 6.
The provisions of this Resolution shall supersede Resolution No.
SIR-SOl and amendments thereto.
THE FOREOOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council this 7th day of December , 1982.
