RESOLUTION NO. 82R-590
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING PERSONNEL RULE 16, VACATION
AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 81R-151.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 77R-805 and Resolution No. 78R-52
established vacation provisions; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 81R-151 amended said Resolutions; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended certain
amendments to Personnel Rule 16, Vacation for employees in classifications
designated as management; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
the adoption of the recommended amendments is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Personnel Rule 16, Vacation, and Resolution No. 81R-151 be
amended to read as follows:
Section 16.11 is renumbered to 16.12.
A new Section 16.11 is added as follows:
"Section 16.11. Any employee in a olassification designated as
management shall be provided the option on an annual ba515 of
being compensated at his regular rate of pay for up to one (1)
week of vacation accrued but not taken, subject to the following
provisions:
16.111 For employees with an average work week of forty (40)
hours, a minimum of eighty (80) hours of vacation must
have been used during the previous calendar year. A
maximum of forty (40) hours may be paid in cash.
16.112 For employees with an average work week of fifty-six (56)
hours, a minimum of one hundred twelve (112) hours of
vacation must have been used during the previous calendar
year. A maximum of fifty-six (56) hours may be paid in
cash.
16.113 The employee's department head must approve the employee's
request for the annual vacation pay-off.
16.114 Payment shall be made in January of each year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 81R-151 shall remain in full force and effect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this resolution
is December 7. 1982.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION IS APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of December
1982.
