A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Police Association, have met and
conferred and reached an agreement on labor market equity adjustments for employees in the
classification of Detention Officer and its related classification. The parties further agree to
amend ANAHEIM's contract with the Public Employees Retirement System to provide
Government Code £21345.5 benefits ("2.l@55"} for miscellaneous employees represented by
the APA (Police Officer Trainees} of the Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Police Association is in agreement with the recommendation
contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated July 28, 2005
between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated July 28, 2005 between the Anaheim Police Association and
the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is
hereby approved.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 23rd day of Aueust , 2005, by the following roll call vote:
