A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIlVI APPROVING A
LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GENERAL TRUCK DRNERS UNION,
LOCAL 952 AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the General Truck Drivers Union, Local 952, have
met and conferred and reached an agreement with respect to retirement benefits provided to
employees in classifications represented by UNION with the Memorandum of Understanding
between the Parties in effect from October 3, 2003 through October 4, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the General Truck Drivers Union, Loca1952, is in agreement
with the recommendations contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated
July 20, 2005 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Letter of Understanding dated July 20, 2005, between the General Truck Drivers Union,
Local 952, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein, is hereby approved.
'THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of Aueust 2005.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
between the
General Truck Drivers Union, Local 952
and the
City of Anaheim
The General Truck Drivers Union, Local 952 ("UNION'? and the City of Anaheim ("ANAHEIM"}
have met and conferred, and have reached agreement with respect to retirement benefits
provided to employees in classifications represented by UNION. The parties agree that
ANAHEIM will amend the PERS Miscellaneous Plan for Anaheim City, Employer Number 303 to
provide Government Code §21354.5 (" 2.7@55'~ retirement benefits to be effective on or before
December 29, 2005 contingent upon agreement being reached with all bargaining units
representing miscellaneous employees.
