ORDINANCE NO. 4794
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ADDING NEW SECTION 1.04.315 TO CHAPTER
1.04 OF TITLE 1 RELATING TO PURCHASING
AGENT'S AUTHORITY TO SELL SURPLUS
PERSONAL PROPERTY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1
That new Section 1.04.315 be, and the same is hereby,
added to Chapter 1.04 of Title 1 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to
read as follows:
"1.04.315 PURCHASING AGENT -
SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY
The Purchasing Agent shall be empowered to and
is responsible for the sale of City surplus
personal property having a value of $50,000.00
or less after the Department Head having
custody of the property has determined that
such property is not needed for public use.
The Purchasing Agent is authorized to execute
any necessary title documents in connection
with the sale of such surplus personal
property."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the
elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared
invalid.
