4830FOLLOWS: ORDINANCE NO. 4830 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING SECTION 18.61.030 OF CHAPTER 18.61 AND SECTION 18.48.050 OF CHAPTER 18.48 OF TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE TO CONDITIONALLY PERMIT COMMERCIAL LAUNDRIES IN THE COMMERCIAL - RECREATION AREA AND TO ESTABLISH LANDSCAPED SETBACKS ADJACENT TO FREEWAYS, RESPECTIVELY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. That Section 18.61.030 of Chapter 18.61 of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, which section establishes setbacks and landscaping standards, be, and it is hereby amended, by amending subsection .012 to read as follows: ".012 Abutting collector streets, freeway frontage roads, freeway rights-of-way (including any freeway transition road and on or off ramp); a setback of not less than twenty-five (25) feet, either fully landscaped or with a minimum of ten (10) feet parallel with and adjacent to said street or freeway landscaped, with the remainder of the required setback area limited to parking or vehicular circulation." SECTION 2. That Section 18.48.050 of Chapter 18.48 of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, which section specifies conditionally permitted uses in the Commercial -Recreation Zone, be, and it is hereby, amended by adding thereto subsection .145 to read as follows: ".145 Laundry, commercial or dry cleaning establishment." SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this f. ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid. SECTION 4. SAVINGS CLAUSE Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and continuations, and not as new enactments. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of May, 1987.
