A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
HIS DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION
FOR A STATE OF CALIFORNIA PARK PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the
responsibility by the Legislature of the State of California for the administration of the Statewide
Park Program, setting up necessary procedures governing the Application; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation
require the Anaheim City Council to authorize, by resolution, the submission of an application for
said Grant; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Mira Loma Park Project (the "Project ") is the subject of the
Grant application; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Council desires to accept any such Grant which may be
awarded to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
I . The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to file an Application for Statewide
Park Program Grant for the Project.
2. Certifies that the City of Anaheim has or will have available, prior to commencement of any
work on the Project included in said application, sufficient funds to complete the Project.
3. Certifies that the City of Anaheim has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain
the Project.
4. Certifies that the City of Anaheim has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General
Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Administration Guide.
5. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute any
agreements, assurances or other documents as may be necessary in connection with the
acceptance of the grant, if such grant is awarded to the City; and which may be necessary for
the completion of the Project, including, but not limited to, applications, contracts,
amendments, and payment requests.
6. Certifies that the City of Anaheim will comply with all federal, state and local laws,
ordinances, rules, regulations and guidelines.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 12th day of January , 2010, by the following roll -call vote:
