RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING TEMPORARY CLOSURES
TO CALTRANS STATE ROUTE 57 NORTHBOUND
OFFRAMP FOR THE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ALL -
STAR GAME 5K AND FUN RUN.
WHEREAS, the Major League Baseball ( "MLB ") All -Star Game 5K and Fun
Run is scheduled for July 11, 2010; and
WHEREAS, 10,000 runners and walkers will participate in this 3.1 mile
course through the Anaheim Stadium and along City streets passing State Route 57 (SR -57);
and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximate two -hour
temporary closure of SR -57 northbound offramp at Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been prepared, and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, MLB agrees to reimburse Caltrans for costs of the traffic
closures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the City of Anaheim requests temporary closures of up to two hours on July
11, 2010, between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at SR -57 northbound offramp at Katella Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 23' day of March, 2010, by the following roll call vote:
