A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANAHEIM
17ET/SPLIT JOB PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS FOR APPROVED
ACTIVITIES
IHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Orange
County Manpower Commission propose to ent-er into an
agreement to establish and operate a Vet/Split Program
under Title I of the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act of 1973 to provide part-time employment for
Anaheim Veterans receiving G.I. Bill educational
benefits; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide
qualified Anaheim Veterans with an opportunity to earn
supplemental income and to provide work experience in
fields related to their major areas of study; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and
considered the proposed CETA Title I Budget for operation
of said Vet/Split Job Program for the period October 1,
1975 to June 30, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would
be for the benefit and in the best interests of the City
to approve said Vet/Split Job Program for the period
October 1, 1975 to June 30, 1976, and to authorize the
disbursement of funds for said Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim that said Vet/Split Job
Program this day submitted to the City Council be, and the
same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Counai.l does
hereby authorize the expenditure of $73,618.00 of the Fiscal
Year 1975-1976 CETA I Entitlement funds granted by the
Orange County Manpower Commission to operate the Anaheim Vet/
Split Job Program for the period October 1, 1975 to June 30,
