A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE HUMAN
RESOURCES DIRECTOR TO ESTABLISH AND
ADMINISTER A 401(a) MONEY PURCHASE
RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN WHICH SHALL BE
ADDED TO THE DEFERRED COMPENSATION
PLANS OFFERED BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report, dated June 22,
2010, that the Human Resources Department research and implement a 401(a) Money Purchase
Retirement Savings Plan to enhance the existing Defined Contribution plans offered by the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the aforementioned
recommendation is in the best interests of the employees of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the
Human Resources Director is hereby authorized to establish and administer a 401(a) Money Purchase
Plan, which shall be part of the Defined Contribution plans offered by the City to eligible employees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Human Resources Director is hereby authorized and
directed to take any actions necessary or required to establish and administer the 401(a) Money Purchase
Plan including, but not limited to, the execution of service provider agreements, employee participation
agreements, and other agreements.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim this 22nd day of June, 2010, by the following roll call vote:
