RESOLUTION NO. 75R-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE MAGNOLIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
DISTRICT RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC
SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM.
vffiEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide
for a public service employment program for unemployed City
residents; and
WHEREAS) the City of Anaheim has received a Sub-
grant from the Orange County Manpower Commission to Conduct
a Public Service Employment Program tinder Title II of the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services
of an agency with special knowledge and experience in
operating such public service employment training program; and
WHEREAS, the Magnolia Elementary School District
has met the requirements for operating said public service
employment program and is willing to conduct such a program
pursuant to Title II of the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act of 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Magnolia Elementary School District
has submitted to the City a form of Agreement providing for
the furnishing of specialized services required to conduct
said public service employment program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to approve
the proposed agreement between the City of Anaheim and the
Magnolia Elementary School District, and that the same should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Magnolia Elementary School District
providing for the furnishing of specialized services required
to conduct said public service employment program upon the
terms and conditions and for the compensation set forth in
said L~reement be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Aereement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
