RESOLUTION NO. 75R- 455
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING .AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPART-
MENT OF HIGHWAY PATROL RELATING TO ACCIDENT
INVESTIGATION CLASSES FOR AN ANAHEIM 'POLICE
OFFICER AT THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL
ACADEMY.
WHEREAS, the City ot Anaheim'desires to send an
officer of the Anaheim Police Department to attend Accident
Invest-igatlon classes conducted by the State of California,
Department of Highway Patrol at the California Hi.ghw'ay Patrol
Academy; and '
WHEREAS, the State of California, Dep"artmen.t of
California Highway Patrol is willing to furnish such training
services and to allow an officer of the Anahe'1m Poll'ce Depart-
ment to use its Academy faciliti'es while attending sa"id
Accident Inves.tlgation classes; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Dep.artment of
California Highway has submitted to the City a form ot agree~
ment providing for the training, housing and status of an
Anaheim Police Officer while attending Accident Investigation
classes at the California Highway Patrol Academy and providing
for the manner of bearing the cost and expense of training and
housing of an Anaheim Police Officer attending said classes'; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of the City to enter
into said agreement with the State of California, Department of
California Highway Patrol and that the same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement, thi.8 date submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into. between the
City of Anaheim and the State of California, Department of High-
way Patrol, providing for the training, housing and s.tatus of
an Anaheim Police Officer attending Accident 'Inv~st1gation
classes at its Academy upon the terms and conditions, and for
the compensation set forth in said Agreement be, and the same
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City C.lerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said ~greement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
