RESOLUTION NO. 72R-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-,
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
THE PACIPICO AVENUE-LEWIS STREET STREET AND
STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENT. IN THE CITY OP ANAHEIM,
WORK ORDER NOS. 638-A and 639-B.

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIF~CATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION'THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.'
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The Pacifico Avenue-Lewis Street street and storm drain
improvement, Pacifico Avenue, from 977 feet east of to
Anaheim Boulevard and Lewis Street, from 650 feet south of
to 1250 feet south of Katella Avenue, in the City of Anaheim,
consisting of clearing and grubbing: excavation: construction
of P.C.C. curb, curb and gutter, cross gutter and spa~drels;
construction of asphalt concrete over aggregate base or
asphalt concrete over native soil; install 18" and 33" R.C.P.i
construct junction structure, manhole and catch basins: and
appurtenant work as more particularly set forth in "the plans
and specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk
or City Engineer, Work Order Nos. 638-A"and 639-B. .
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed
the Department of Public Works to prepare deta11ed des1gns,
plans, pro'files, drawJ.ngs and specitJ.cations, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Department pf Puhlil! ,:rkll has
prepared said detailed des1qns, plans, profiles, ' raw1nqs and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has subRdtted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed

residents in said a~ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate.for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the .City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detaile~.d~.ign8, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said publi~.improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, be, and ~he same are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by said n~pAP~mA~~ n~
Public Works .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public' improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifica~ion8, as "pr~pared by said
Department. of Public Works .. " and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
~pproved prior to ,the awardin~ ,of'bids the~ef~r.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED'that the City Clerk of the Ci~y
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and' directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed propQsals for
the furnishing of all plant, labot, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing' all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accor-
dance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles., drawings and
specifications as prepared by said DeDartmen~ of Pu~1i~
Works , the pUblic improvement here1pabove men-
tioned and described, and. fixing the ~tp. dayot'Acf){,' ,
1972 , at the hour of 2 :00 o'clock P.M. as t.he dat.e. an our' -:-
for the opening of said bids at the City. Council Chamber in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and tha~ said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications .shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said pUblicat.ions shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
ment.ioned and described, in accordance wit.h the..pl.ans and speci-

thi~ resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Cqde
