A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
01' ANAHEIM APPROVING THE. ANNEXATION TO. THE
C:tTY OP ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND
DESIGNATED BALL-SUNKIST NO.. 4 ANNEXATI.ON.
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission a.thor-
ized 'the City of Anaheim to annex sa~id territory wit.hout no'tice
and hearinq and wi1:hout an election pursuant to the authori'ty
ves.ted in said Commissi'on by Section 54797.1 of the. Govermuent
Co.de: and
WHEREAS, said t.erritory proposed t.o be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange,' State of
Cali.fornia, and is cont.i.9Uous 1:0 'the City of Anaheim, and i.
uninhabited territory. That said cons'ent contained a descr1p-
tion of said territory in words and figures as 'hereinafter in
thi.s resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council 'of the City of Anaheim 1s
authorized to approve said annexation by resolut.ion without
notice and hearinq pursuant to the approval of said Local A,ency
Porma.~ion Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREPOaE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim finds:
That the City of Anaheim submitted proof sa'ti.sfac~ory
to the Local Agency Formation commiss'lon that all of the oWllers
of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have qiyen
their si'gned consent to such annexation. That said territory
proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is. situated in
the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguou8
to 'the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. . That said
consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory
proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory
in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described.
That. the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Aqency Formation Commission
and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the Government Code.
That on the 26th day of January, 1972, the Local
Agency Format.ion Commis'sion duly adopt.ed Resolution No. 72-18 in
which said commiss'ion authorized the City of Anaheim to. annex
said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the GoYern-
ment Code and further approved such annexation of said territory
witho,ut noti,ce or hearing.
That the Local Agency Pormation commission furt.her
by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim
to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the Ci..~y
Council and without the requirement that an election be held by

That parcel of land being a portion of the. Northeast
quarter of t.he Nort.hwest quart.er of Sec.tion 24, Township
4 South, Range 10 We,st, S.B.B. & M., located in the C01l1lty
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of the
City of Anaheim, as established by the Ball-Winston Annexa-
tion to the City of Anaheim, said point of beginning being
in the southeast corner of the parcel of land designated
as Parcel One on parcel map recorded November 14, 1968,
in Book 18, page 23 of Parcel Maps, records of Orange
County, California, said point of beginning also being the
Southeast corner of the North half of the West half of the
West half of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest qua.rter
of said Section 24; thence Nort.h O. 131 40" West., 630 feet,
more or less, along said existing City limit line to an
intersection with a line parallel with and 30 feet south-
erly of the centerline of Ball Road, sa.id point of inter-
section being a point in tne existing City limit. line of
the City of Anaheim, as established by the Ball-Sunkist
No. 3 Annexation to t.he City of Anaheim7 t:hence South 890
55' 3611 East, 660 feet, more or less, leaving the City
limit line of the City of Anaheim, as est.ablished by the
said Ball-Winston Annexation and following along the last
mentioned para11e.1 line, being a portion of the "existing
City of Anaheim City limit line, as established by said
Ball-Sunkist No. 3 Annexation and the Ball-Sunkist No. 2
Annexation t.o an intersection with the east line of the
North half of the West half of the East half of the North-
east. quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 24, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M.; thence South 00
13' 40" East, 630 feet, more or less, leaving 'the exis'ting
City limit line of the City of Anaheim to an intersect10n
with ehe sout.h line of t.he North half of ~e Northeast
quarter ot the Northwest quarter of said Section 24; thence
North. 890 581 35" West, 660 feet., more or less, to the
point of beginning.
is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and
incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Or"nCje, State of
California, and is hereby designated as .the BALL-SUNKIST NO. 4
ANNEXATION to the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of
the adoption of this resolution and ~e filing of a certified
copy thereof with the. Secretary of State of the State ot Cali-
fornia, the annexation of ehe territory herein described shall
be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such
annexed territory shall be, to all int.ents and purposes, a part
of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date
of such .annexation, all propert.y i:herein shall be subject. t.o
taxation equally with the propert.y within the City of Anaheim
and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing
indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted
prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant to
the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed
territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to
the adoption of this resolution.
