A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OP ANAHEIM FINDING THAT ALL PROPERTY. WITHIN
THE CITY SHOULD BE EXEMPT PROM COUNTY STRUC-
TURAL FIRE PROTECTION TAX.
WHEREAS, Secti,on 25643 of the Government Code of the
State of California establishes the procedure whereby property
within incorporated cities may be exempt from county tax levies
for structural fire protection; and
WHEREAS, the city Council finds after. due study and
del.iberation that all of the qualifications for said exemption
exist and are as follows:
1. That the City of Anaheim has an or9~nized Fire
Department in operation and existence at .the pres.ent
time.
2. That said Fire Department is providing ~dequate fire
protection services to all property within the
incorporated limits of the City.
3. That no additional benefit in fire .protection is
received or required by such property from struc~ural
fire protection given by the Coun~y of Orange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a petition be presented to the Orange
County Board of Supervisors, in writing, requestinq the .exclusion
of all property within the City of Anahetm from the levy of .taxes
for structural fire protection, and that the city Manaqer of the
City of Anaheim. be, and he is hereby, .uthoz:ized and directed to
so petition the said Board of Supervisors and to provide them
with a certified copy of this resolution.
