A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-. _
VENIENCE ~D NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT.,. TO WIT:
THE PACIFICO AVENUE-LEWIS STREET SEWER IMPRQVE-
MENT, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM" WORK ORDER NO.
1241. ..

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIF~CATION5 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION.THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of Pacifico Avenue from approxima~ely
977 feet east of Anaheim Boulevard to Anaheim Boulevard;
and Lewis Street, f~om approxima~ely 455 fee~ north of
Pacifico Avenue to Pacifico Avenue, in the City of Anaheim,
consist.ing of t.he cons~ruc~ion of approximately 918 L.P..
of 8" V.C.P. sewer, 262 L.F. of 6" V.C.P. sewer, manholes
c1eanout: and appurtenant work as more particularly set
forth in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Work Order No.
1241.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the
Department of Public Works to prepare deta11ed des1,ns,
plans, pro'files, drawings and specifications, and estima'tes of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said DeDartment of p~~ W~~a has
prepared said detailed des1qns, plans, pr~flles" .dr~w1nqs ana
specifications for the construction of sa1d pub11c 1mprovemen~
and has submi~ted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds t~a~ th~ detailed ,.

residents in said a~ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed .de.ign., plans, prOfiles,
drawings and specifications for said publi~.improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, be, and the' ...e are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by said Department of
Public Works
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED ~at said public' improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifica~ion.. as. ..pr~pared by said
Departmen't of Public Works . . and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modific.tions thereto as may be
approved prior to .the awarding .of" bids the~efQr.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the Ci'ty
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, invit~ng sealed.propqsals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities aqd transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing' all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accor-
dance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles., drawings and
specifications as prepared by said Department. of Public Works

tioned and described, and fixing the 16th day of' March
19 72 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date'and nour
for the opening of said bids at the City. Council Chamber in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications' .shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the:opening of
bids, and that said pUblications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the... pl..ns and speci-
fications prepared by said Deoartment of Publi~Qrks
, the notice invit1ng seaIea proposals,
this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code
Sections and the laws of the State of California, and s4a11 be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts .and within
the time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attprney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 22nd day of February , 19 72
