RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 47
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A
REQUEST TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
FOR FUNDS FROM THE CROSSING PROTECTION FUND
FOR PROTECTION OF CROSSING NO. BK-Sll.3
AT THE INTBRSECTION OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANS-
PORTATION COMPANY TRACKS AT BALL ROAD, IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific TranSDortation Com~anv
and the City of Anaheim have entered into a cont.ract for the
erection of crossing protection at Crossing'No. BK-511.3
at the intersection of the Southern Pacific TranSDortation
t~acks at Ball Road. in ~he Ci~y of. Anahe~ and
WHEREAS, the legislature of the. State of California
has created a crossing protection fund'for.the assistance of
local agencies in the construction of crossing protections to be
administereo by the Public Utilities Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Public utilities Commission, by its order
in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495, has prescribed that
certain info~ation and exhibits be set forth in requests for
crossing protection funds, including a..resolution from the leqis-
lative body of the local agency authorizing:the submission of a
request for said funds.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a request in conformity with the pro-
cedure contained in the order in Public Utility Commission Case
No. 5495 be submitted to the Public Utilities Commission, re-
questing funds from the Crossing Protection~Fund for the protec-
tion of 'Crossing.Noo R~-~" ~ at the intersection of
th~ Snuth~rn Pacific Transportation tracks at Ba11 Road in the
Citv of Anaheim -
.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Engineering .Department
of the City of Anaheim shall take all necessary steps to prepare
and submit such request to the Public Utilities Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ~he Mayor be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute said request for crossing protec~
tion funds and to verify said request as prescribed in Appendix
"An of said order in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495.
