RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OP ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDI.T:tONS
OF AN AGREEMENT EMPLOYING WAINWRIGHT & RA.MSEY,
:mC. AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYO~ AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALP oP THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, hereinafter referred to
as "City", desires to expand the Ci.ty-owned elec.tric sys'tetll and
t.o finance 'the cost of said proC]ram, hereina.fter called "Project",
through the. issuance of electric revenue bonds of the Cit.y of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Wainwright & Ramsey, Ine., hereinafter
referred 1:0 as "Consultant.", has the specialized knowl.edge,
orqanization, expertise, and national following among lenders
necessary to provide the financial research, counsel, advice
and representation requisite to achievement of optimum terms
of Project financing in behalf of City; and
WHEREAS, City desires to employ Consultant to. provide
quidance and technical support in the financial aspects of
Project, and to advise and consult with City concern!nq the
financial feasibility of Project and ~e planning and marketing
aspects of such bonds as may be authorized for Project purposes;
and
WHEREAS, City desires to employ Consultant to advise
and consult with City in order to achieve Project. financi~q most
effectively; and
WHEREAS, Consultant submi. tted Wlder date of October 30,
1971, a proposal siqned by. Prank Twohy, Senior Vice"':Pres.i-den1:,
which outlined the t~s and conditions and services 'to be
provided by Consultant; and
WHEREAS, said proposal is sati.sfaci:o'ry 1:0 City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by: the City .Council of
the. Ci.ty of Anaheim that the .terms and conditions in an aqreement
on file.with the Cit.y Clerk of the City of Anaheim by and ])etween
the City of Anaheim and Wainwright & Ramsey, Inc. be, and the.
same are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Ci.ty Clerk
are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City
