RESOLUTION NO. 72R-26
A RESOLUT.I.ON OF THE CI.TY COUN.CI:L OF TI-IE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEI'4ENT. AND TO
PROVIDE POR PAYMENT THEREUNDER (Schroeder
Convention Center Property).
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore, on the
24th day of February, 1970, entered into a lease of certain real
property in the immediate vicinity at the Anaheim Convention
Center with an option to purchase the same; and
WHEREAS, the terms under which said option to purchase
may be exercised have been met and it is in the best. interests
of the Cit.y of Anaheim to purcha.se said property upon the terms
and conditions agreed upon at the time of entering into said
lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, there ha.s been presented to. the City Council
a Purchase Agreement encompassing the terms and conditions to
which reference has been made; and
WHEREAS, Llwediately following the execution of said
Purchase Agreement, the. City agree.s to make a down payment of
$100,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of tbe
City of Anahe.im that certain Purchase Agreement for the purchase
of approximately 9.57 gross acres of property located at the
~ortheast corner of West Street and Convention Way in the City of
Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to draw a City Warrant in
favor of A.F. Schroeder and Louise Schroeder in the amount of
$100,000.00 and to deliver the same to the Office of the City
Attorney for transmittal.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
