RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE KATHRYN-LINDSAY ANNEXATION
(INHABITED) .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
received a request for the annexation of the hereinafter described
territory to the City of Anaheim from 74 percent of the owners of
land within said territory stating that said territory is inhabited
and contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission .of the City of
Anaheim has reported and recommended that the City Council consent
to commence proceedings for the annexation of said territory to
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the best interests of the City of Anaheim and to
the qualified electors residing within said territory to permit
the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim upon the conditions hereinafter set
forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City be and it is
hereby given to commence proceedings for the annexation of the
hereinafter described property to the City of Anaheim upon the
following conditions:
FIRST: That the proposal for annexation of said terri-
tory to the~rty of Anaheim shall be submitted to the Local
Agency Formation Commission by filing a notice of intention to
annex with the Commission, containing the specific boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed.
SECOND~ That no petition be circulated for the annexa-
tion of said-territory until after notice of intention to circu-
late such petition has been published as required by law, and a
copy of such notice and affidavit of nublication has been filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days
after the date of publication of said notice, and a resolution
has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
acknowledging recei~t of said notice and approving the circula-
tion of said petition.
THIRD: That the circulation of any petition for the
annexation~-said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be
commenced until twenty-one (21) days after the publication of said
notice of intention to circulate the same.

The boundaries of the territory for which proceedings
are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the
City of Anaheim are described as follows:

That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange,
State of California, being a portion of Sections 7, 8 and
18 of Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of the
City of Anaheim, as established by the Broadway-La Palma
Annexation to the City of Anaheim, said point of beginning
being in the northeast corner of Tract No. 2587, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 80, page 41, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County; thence following along the
said existing City limit line the fOllowing courses and dis-
tances: South 00 16 I 10 I: East, 1,110.50 feet r North 890 31'
0011 West., 396.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave northeasterly and having a radius of 50 feet; thence
Westerly, Northwesterly and Northerly along said curve
through a central angle of 1310 24 I 35~' an arc distance of
114.68 feet to the beginning of a reverse curve concave
northwesterly and having a radius of 50 feet, a radial line
bearing South 480 061 25" East ~asses through the point of
beginning of said reverse curve: thence Northeasterly and
Northerly along said reverse curve through a central an91e
of 410 24' 35u an arc distance of 36.14 feet to an inter-
section with a line parallel with and 25 feet westerly of
the centerline of Bircher Street, as said Bircher Street is
indicated in Tract No. 1851, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 56, page 26, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County; thence North 00 16 I 10 il West, 6.10 feet along said
parallel line to an intersection with the southerly line of
Lot 9 in said Tract No. 1851; thence North a90 31' 00" West,
214.00 feet along the southerly line of said Lot 9 and the
westerly prolongation thereof to an intersection with a line
parallel with and 40 feet easterly of the centerline of
Brookhurst Street; thence South 00 161 10" East, 302 feet
along the last mentioned parallel line to an intersection
with a line parallel with and 30 feet northerly of the south
line of the Sout.hwest. quarter of Section 8, Towns.hip 4
South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., said point of intersection
being a point in the existing City limit line of the City of
Anaheim, as established by the Orange Avenue Annexation to
the City of Anaheim; thence leaving the City limit line of
the City of Anaheim, as established by the said Broadway--
La Pa~a Annexation and following along a portion of the
existing City limit line, as established by said Orange
Avenue Annexation, the following courses and distances:
South 880 58 I 00 ~l West, 70.00 feet; North 00 16 I 10 U West,
10.00 feet to a point in the northeast corner of the
Brookhurst-Lincoln Annexation to the City of Anaheim; thence
leaving tIle said Orange Avenue City limit line and following

of Anaheim, as established by said Brookhurst-Lincoln
Annexation, the following courses and distances: South
880 581 Don West, 300.00 feet; South 00 07' 36u West, 106.00
feet to the northeast corner of the Lincoln-Monterey
Annexation to the City of Anaheim; thence leaving the said
Brookhurst-Lincoln City limit line and following along the
existing City lLMit line of the City of Anaheim, as estab-

a point in the existing City limit line of the City of
Anaheim, as established by the aforementioned Broadway-
La Palma Annexation~ thence leavinq the said Lincoln-
Monterey City limit line and fOllowing along a portion of
the City of Anaheim City limit line, as established per said
Broadway-La Palma Annexation, the following courses and dis-
tances: North 880 58' 00" East, 156.00 feeti North 00 16'
20" West, 1,408.58 feet~ North 890 36' 20" East, 330.00 feet;
South 00 16' 20" East, 100.00 feet; North 890 36' 20" East,
300.33 feet; South 00 16' 10" East, 28.00 feet; South 890
39 I 04 n East, 705.00 feet to the poin.t of beginning.
