RESOLUTION NO. 72R-l
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING HILLSI'DE STREET STANDARDS,
STANDARD DETAIL NUMBE.RS 11.3-A, 114-A, AND
115 (EXHIBIT "A") FOR USE IN HILLSIDE AREAS.
WHEREAS, streets proposed in hillside areas require
special consideration, and certain standards have been sub-
mitted and reviewed, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that seven-foot
parkways are sufficient to provide for both sidewalks and
utilities, yet are not so large to be uneconomical or a
wasteful use of developable land; and
WHEREAS, sidewalks are necessary for hill.side secon-
dary and primary highways as well as the access side of Hillside
Interior and Collector streets in order to permi.t pedestrian
traffic to walk in safety; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Standard Details are considered
appropriate for use in such developments because they provide
also for adequately sized travel and parking lanes as well as
adequate. local drainage: and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, .pursuant to Resolution No. PC 71-244, recommended ~at
the aforementioned hillside street standards be adopted for use
in hillside areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the. city Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby adopt for the Hillside
street Standards in the City of Anahe.im the Detail Nos. 11.3.~A,
l14-A, and 115 (Exhibit "An), a copy of which is .on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim .and
referred to herein as though set forth in full.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 4th day of January, 1972.,
