RES-2023-025RESOLUTIONNO. 2023- 025 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2021-119 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING, DELETING AND/OR MODIFYING CERTAIN CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, LOCAL 2002, GENERAL MANAGEMENT UNIT WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the Human Resources Director to maintain and administer the position classification and compensation plan; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated April 18, 2023, that the need exists to create, delete and/or modify certain classifications within the designation of American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), Local 2002, General Management Unit, effective the pay period beginning April 28, 2023; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2021-119, has established and modified classifications, rates of compensation, and pay policies for classifications assigned to the AFSCME, General Management Unit; and WHEREAS, such additions, deletions and modifications require an amendment to Section 1 of Resolution No. 2021-119, as amended; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that creating, deleting and/or modifying such classifications within the designation of AFSCME, General Management Unit is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: SECTION 1. That effective the pay period beginning April 28, 2023, Appendix B, Represented Classifications and Rates of Pay, of the Memorandum of Understanding between the AFSCME, General Management Unit, is hereby amended by assigning the following classification and allocating it to the salary range as follows: Classification Salary Range Fire Communications Administration Supervisor XCR09 SECTION 2. Except as amended herein, classifications assigned to the AFSCME, Local 2002, General Management Unit, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The Human Resources Director shall be delegated with the authority to publish the authorized salary schedule in said Memorandum of Understanding in any format meeting the requirements of the California Code of Regulations section 570.5. SECTION 4. The effective date of said amendment to Resolution No. 2021-119, as amended, is April 28, 2023. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
