A RESOLU'frON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE C:rTY
OF ANAHEIM CONCERNING THE ELECTRIC MTE
INCREASES AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO.. 71R-478
AND WITH REGARD TO THEIR CONSISTENCY WITH THE
PURPOSES OF THE ECONOMIC STABn.:rZAT~ON ACT .OP
19.70, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
passed and adopted Resolution No. 71R-478 on October 26., 1971,
which authorized an increase in rates solely for the purpose of
recovering the cost of an increase in the wholesale 'rate of
power which the City of Anaheim purchases from tne Southern
California Edison Company; and
WHEREAS, t.he Federal Power Commission on November 19,
1971, in Docket No. E-76l8 issued its order which provided,
among other things, that:
"This order shall constitute the certification of
consist.ency with the purposes of the Economic Stabil-
ization Act of 1970, as amended, as required by
Section 300.016 (b) of Chapter rrI, Title '6 of the Code
of Federal Regulations."; and
WHEREAS, said Federal Power Commission authorized
an increase' in the rate which the City of Anahe.im pays to 1:he
Southern California Edison Company to. be effective as of 12:01
a.m., November 14, 1971.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that this reso.lution shall constitute
the certification of consistency with the purposes. of the
Economic Stabilization Act of 1970, as amended, as required by
Section 300.016 (b) of Chapter III, Title 6 of the Code of
Federal Regulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rate.s, rules and
regulations adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 71R-478 are
hereby declared to have been effective as of 12:01 a.m.,
November 14, 1971, as provided for in said resolution and
pursuant to the order of the Federal Power Commission issued
on Novembe.r 19, 1971, in Docket No. E-76l8.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 23rd day of November, 1971.
