RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 517
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WI"TH .THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY. (CONSTRUCT-
ION OF TEN INCH WATER PIPELINE BENEATH TRACKS
AND PROPERTY OF RAILROAD AT CERRITOS AVENUE
AT MILE POST BM-5l2.90)
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company
has tendered to the City of Anaheim an Indenture granting to
the City the right to construct, maintain and operate a ten (10)
inch water pipeline beneath the tracks and property of Railroad
at or near South Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, and as a part consideration for the rights
herein granted, City shall pay to Railroad the sum of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00); and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said Indenture
tendered to the City would be for the benefit and in the best
interest of the City, and should be approved~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and
they are "hereby authorized and directed to execute said Indenture
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved" and signed by me
this 16th day of November I 19 71 .
