RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 513
A RESOLUTI.ON OF THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH YORBA IRRIGATION COMPANY (Well
"8 - Halladay Well). '
WHE.REAS, the city of Anaheim has a well 'in the vicinity
of Imperial Highway and Orangethorpe Avenue,. which it acquired
in connection with the condemnation of Anahetm Union Water
Company facilities; and
WHEREAS, said well is not potable and cannot be
integrated with t.he domest.ic water supply of the city of Anaheim
without costly filtration facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Yorba Irrigation Company desires the
use of said well to satisfy certain irrigation requirements of
its members~ and
WHEREAS, t.he city Council of the City 'of Anaheim finds
it in the best interests of the City to lease said well to 'the
Yorba Irrigation Company; and
WHEREAS, the Yorba Irrigation Company has. tendered
a Lease Agreement to the city together with "a'cashier's check
in the amount of' $7,735.00 representinq the total rent for the
t.erm involved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City coun~:11 of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City .Clerk 'be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute that .certain Lease
Agreement between the city of Anah~ 'and the Yorba Irrigation
Company relative to the use by said Company of 'said City we.ll.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the executed
Lease Agreement be returned to the office of the City Attorney
for transmittal to the Yorba Irrigation-Company.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
