A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANMfEIM AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
A CONTRACT FOR SALE FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, ACCEPTING A GRANT
DEED, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PAY-
MENT THEREFOR.
tVHEREAS, in connect1on with the acquisition of real
property at the Douglass Street entrance to Anaheim Stadium,
a portion of said land was offered to the City by the Orange
County Flood Control District for the sum of $50,724.00: and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the consideration
for which said land is offered to the City is fair and reasonable
and it is in the best interests of the City to acquire such
property at said price; and
WHEREAS, said Orange County Flood Control District
has delivered its deed to the following described property
subj.ect to the payment of said $50,724.00:

Those portions of Lots 7 and 8 of the Travis Tract,
partly in the City of Anaheim, all in the County of
Orange, State of California, per map recorded in book
5, page 120 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of
the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Katella Avenue (formerly Struck Avenue) with the center
line of Douglass Street (formerly Collins Avenue) as
said center line intersection is described in deed to
the County of Orange, recorded July 26, 1933 in book
618, page 471 of Official Records in the office of the
County Recorder of said Orange County; thence S. 60 27'
58" W., 505.45 feet along said center line of Douglass
Street to its intersection with the northwesterly line
of that certain strip of land, 70 feet wide, described
in deed to Orange County Flood Control District,
recorded February 6, 1939 in book 984, page 15 of said
Official Records; thence S. 460 01' 0711 W., 47.64 feet
along said northwesterly line to the true point of
beginning, said point being a point on a non-tangent
curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of
270.00 feet, a radial line of said curve through said
point bears S. 800 41' 06f1 E.j t.hence southwesterly
86.64 feet along said curve through a central angle of
180 23' 09"; thence tangent to said curve S. 270 42'
03" W., 351.97 feetJ thence S. 320 09' 17" W., 251.73
feet; thence N. 80 39' 4511 W., 71.99 feet to the
northwesterly line of the land described in deed to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
the City Clerk be, and they are hereby auth~rized and directed
to execute said agreement for and in behalf of the City of
Anaheim.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that it accept and it does hereby accept the
Grant Deed of the Orange County Flood Control District covering
the real property described herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby authorized to record said Grant Deed and that the
Finance Director be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
draw a warrant in favor of the Orange County Flood Control
District in the amount of $50,724.00, and that the same be
delivered to the Office of the city Attorney for transmittal.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of November, 1971.
