A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING COMPLETI.OH 01' A MASTER .
PLAN OF DRAINAGE AND ADOPTING ITS. POLICY IN
CONNECTION WITH DEVELOPMEMT THERE.UNDER.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim ha.s subs.tantial 'acreage
within its corporate boundaries, par1:i:cularl~t on ei'.1:he':t. side of
seta Ana Canyon Ro,ad, which become 'involved in ser,ious problems
of draina9'e: and
WHEREAS, in order to. so.lve the, .drainage 'problems 'of
sai.d areas and thOse immediate'ly adjacent 1:her.eto in the .County
of Orange, the City Council finds that ,it is neces's'ary to. develop
a master plan of drainage; and
WHEREAS, the studies on said mast'er plan of. 'drainage
are proceedi~9 with the cooperation of the. '.County of Orange' .and
the Orange County Flood Control District, and
WHEREAS, 'the City Council, finds 'that ~complet.ion of
said master plan of drainage is necessary. to provide :for equitable
reimbursement aC]reement.s with .developers 'in cODnec~.ton with excess'
drainage facilities whi.ch they may be requ'ired to. install, and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council .to
establish an equitable distribution of financial contributions
in connection with the sharing' of the. drainaC}'e 'obli'9ai:ions.'
NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED by the 'Cit.y Council of
the Ci ty of Anaheim that the Public Works 'Departmen~,. Di visi'on
of Engineering', be and it is hereby au1:horized and direc~ed 'to,
proceed .at once wi.th completion of the master plan 'of drainage
for the Cit.y of Anaheim and to secure as 'expeditiously .as pOssi-
ble the .approval of such plan by the Orange County Flood Control
Dist.rict.
BE I'1' FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council express
and it does hereby express 'its intention to fo~. appropriate
drainage districts' establishin9 equitable 'or series of equitable'
acrea,ge fees in connection t.herewi th..

City of Anaheim to enter. into reimbUrsement a9reenients'. wi1:h
developers within local drainage areas so thai: ~said developers
will be reimbursed for any amounts. expended by them in excess' of

of the City to enter into interim reimbursement a9reements pendi~9
the final and ultimate establishment of a master plan of drainage
and the 'adoption of an ordinance or ordinances 'establishin9 drain-
