RES-2006-031RESOLUTION N0.2006 - 031 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL UNIT AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit, have met and conferred and reached an agreement with respect to amending Article 19 -Temporary Upgrade of the Memorandum of Understanding dated July 1, 2005 through January $, 2009, and; WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit is in agreement with the recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated February 21, 2006, between the parties has been prepared and signed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated February 21, 2006, between the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of March 2006. Employees who are temporarily upgraded for two (2) hours or more, and who are responsible for the full range duties assigned to the higher level class~cadon, shall receive a seven and one-half percent (7~ fib) pay differential for all trine worked in the temporary assignment. 19.2 An employee must be qualified for the higher positron in order to be paid for upgrading. The determination of those persons qual~ied to work in higher rated classifications shall be established by ANAHEIM. 19.3 Bargaining unit employees temporarily upgraded to a management dam shall r~iwe a frfteen percent (15~) pay d~19`erendal. 19.4 Bargaining unit employees temporarily upgraded to the management classes of Library Services Manager shall receive a fifi'een percent (15~6~ pay differential if they are assigned to work in the management class a minimum of one (1~ complete work shi>~. 19.5 Employees in tiie c~a 'nation of Police Services Reonesentative lI who are Permanently a_~signed to the Communicah'ons Division of the Anaheim Police Deuartment shall receive a one and one-half oeraent (1 ~ 9ro 1 vav differential for all dine worlred while so assigned.
