RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 390
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A PROPOSED FREEWAY AGREE-
MENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ON THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the State and the. City have heretofore
entered into a Freeway Agreement, dated February 4, 19.64,
covering the Santa Ana Freeway, Road 07-0RA-S, between the
Fullerton-Anaheim city limit at Houston Street and the Anaheim-
Orange city limit near State College Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, further studies indicate that the certain
revisions are desirable as shown on a revised Agreement submit-
ted by the State of California and approved by the City Engineer,
covering the area between 0.3 mile southeast of Brookurst Avenue
and 0.1 mile northeast of La Palma Avenue; and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the parties to
enter into a new Freeway Agreement in accordance with the revised
plan of said Freeway~ and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held pursuant to Section
100 .22 of the streets and Highways Code of the Sta.te of Cali-
fornia on the 31st day of August, 1971, and no one appeared in
opposition to approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it concur and approve and it does hereby
concur and approve of the proposed revisions, it be.ing understood
that a revised Freeway Agreement incorporating such revisions
is to be entered into at this date.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the. City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to sign said revised
Freeway Agreement to supersede the previous Freeway Agreement
between the State of California and the City of Anaheim dated
February 4, 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to certify two copies of
this Resolution and to forward said copies to the State. of
California Department of Public Works, Division of Highways,
District 7.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
