A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI~1 ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST OFFER
TO FUm~ISH I~L LABOR AND EQUIP~mNT FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL ~~INTENro~CE IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM BY
THE E. D. JOHNSON & COMPANY AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION 01" AN AGREEr.lml'1T WITH SAID CO~4PANY.
l\Tl-IEREAS, 011 the 9th day of July, 1971, the City of
Anaheim requested informal bidding for the maintenance of traffic
signal equipment in the City; and
WHEllEAS, t:1e City Council of tile city of A.1,aheim does
find that the proposal tendered by E. D. Johnson & Company for
traffic signal maintenance, including the furnishing of all
labor, services, materials and equipment, is the lowest, best
and most responsible proposal su~mitted; and
~TriEP~AS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
further find and determine that it would be in the best interests
of the City of Imaheim that said proposal be accepted, and the
contract be a'tt.7arded to said E. D. Johnson & Company.
NOW, THBREFOHE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of
t.he City of Anaheim that the offer of E. D. Johnson & Company
to furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor,
services and materials and to perfor~m all work necessary to main-
tain said traffic signal facilities in the city of Anaheim for a
period of five (5) years in accordance with the terms of said
.:?roposal and u~?on the terms and condl tions set fortll in a certain
form of contract dated 1 August 1971 to be made and entered into
betvleen the parties be, and the same is hereby accepted to and
including the 31st day of July, 1976.
BE IT FURTHER P~SOLVED that the ~iayor and the City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
