RESOLUTION NO. 71R- 300
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE COUN.TY OF ORANGE
EXTENDING THAT CERTAIN AGREEMENT FOR SOIL
AND MATERIAL CONTROL TE.STS, DATED AUGUST 2,
1960, FOR A TERM OF FIVE YEARS COMMENCING
JULY 1, 1971, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1976.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
did heretofore, to wit, on August 2, 1960, enter into an agree-
ment for the making of certain soil tests and material control
tests necessary for road construction by the County of Orange,
under the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, said agreement has been renewed for five
additional terms of one year each upon the same terms and
condi tions, and wi.ll expire June 30, 1971 ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires .to 'renew .said
agreement for an additional five-year term cOmmencing July 1,
1971, and ending June 30, 1976, upon the same terms' 'and condi-
tions as specified in said agreement dated August 2, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange is agreeable to said
extension of time and has tendered to the City of Anaheim a
form of agreement to be made and entered into by. and between
the City and tne County of Orange, extending that certain
agreement. dated August 2, 1960, he.reinabove ment.ioned, for an
additional term of five years commencing July 1, 1971, and
ending June 30, 1976, upon the same te~s and conditions as
specified in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be to
the advantage and for the be.at interest of the City of Anaheim
to enter into said renewal agreement.
NOW, THERE'FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement thi.s 'day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into by and between the
County of Orange and the City of Anaheim exten.ding that certain
agreement entered i.nto by the City and the County on August 2,
1960, for soil te.sts and material control tests, for an addi-
tional term of five years commencing July 1, 1971, and ending
June 30, 1976, upon the same terms and conditions as specified
in said agreement dated August 2, 1960,. be, and the same' .is
hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City C.lerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
