PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION – SPECIAL MEETING

1. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Cudd called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Cudd led the Pledge of Allegiance.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
a) FY 2020/2021 Proposed Budget Summary: Larry Pasco provided an overview of the FY 2020/2021 Proposed
Budget Summary. Vice Chair Rupp made a motion to review and consider the Park Maintenance Services,
Recreation, Human and Neighborhood Services, and Capital Improvement Projects budget components of the
Community Services Department’s FY 2020/2021 Budget seconded by Commissioner Balius; there were five votes in
favor, motion was accepted by Chair Cudd.
The Commission asked questions and discussed the City’s General Fund reserves, park development fees, and
unrestricted funds. Commissioner Balius recommended the Commission submit a letter to the City Council in
support of the proposed budget and a discussion was held. Commissioner Balius and Vice Chair Rupp will submit a
letter to share with staff before the next Commission meeting.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Chair Cudd adjourned the meeting at 6:46 p.m.
