1. CALL TO ORDER: The Youth Commission meeting was called to order at 4:07 p.m.by Brian Chwan.
2. OATH OF OFFICE: Rosa Baltazar administered the Oath of Office for the Youth Commissioners.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Pedigo led the Commission in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None
5. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a) Youth Commissioner Introduction:
Each Youth Commissioner introduced themselves and briefly shared their school and career path.
b) New Commissioner Orientation, Robert’s Rules of Order & Brown Act Review:
Bryan Morley, Deputy City Attorney, provided information for the Youth Commission Orientation, which included
Robert’s Rules of Order and the Brown Act.
c) 2012 Anaheim Youth Services Assessment Overview:
Brian Chwan provided an overview on the 2012 Anaheim Youth Services Assessment. Top three items; teen
pregnancy, youth employment and gang prevention.
d) Citywide Youth Services: Summary of Programs:
Brian Chwan provided summary of programs regarding Citywide Youth Services. Programs such as; Tiny Tots
Academy, Stars, Teen Centers, Roots and Shoots and other programs.
e) Selection of Chair & Vice Chair:
Brian Chwan covered with the Commissioners the future section of the Youth Commission Chair and Vice Chair to
be nominated on the following Youth Commission meeting.
f) Meeting Schedule:
Brian Chwan presented the Youth Commission meeting schedule confirming that each meeting will happen on
every second Wednesday of the month. The next meeting is set to happen on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
g) Youth Commission Logo:
Brian Chwan presented information regarding the development of the future Youth Commission Logo.

Each Youth Commissioner shared their goals to accomplish as a Youth Commissioner. Brian Chwan also shared
his goal of active attendance from all Youth Commissioners.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Joe Perez and Brian Chwan congratulated all Youth Commissioners for joining the
Commission.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Brian Chwan adjourned the meeting at 5:31 p.m. and reported that the next virtual meeting will be on
Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
