THE CITY COUNCIL OF T10 CITY OF ANAE3IM DG;S OAR. iIH AS FOLLO►JS: WhEA,AS, the City Planning Commission of the City of hnaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt a resolution declaring its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the holding of public hearings thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and did duly hold and conduct two public hearings to consider such pro- posed change of zone or zones and did receive evidence L:.nd reports from per- sons interested therein and did recommend a change or changes of zones as set forth in Aesolution(s) No(s). 72Series 195 -54 of the City Planning Commission; and WM22N,AS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation oY the City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the I,1tjj day of lg_j5, as the time, and the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for a public hearing upon said proposed change or changes of zone and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WIiiHBAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing the City Council did 'hold and conduct such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission and did thereupon adopt Resolution (s) No(s). 24.70 _ finding and determining that a change or, changes of zone should be made as set forth in said resolution(s). 1 OW , THAiaFORL , THE CITY COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF ANAIM IT4 DONS ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code "establish- ing zones in the City of Anaheim and therein regulating the use of land, height of buildings and yard spaces; adopting a map showing the boundaries of said zone; defining the terms used in said Article and Chanter; providing for amendment and enforcement thereof; prescribing penalties for violation and re- pealing all sections or parts of section in conflict therewith" be, and the same is hereby, amended by changing the boundaries of the zones set forth in said Article IX, Chapter 2 by adopting a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such change or changes as follows: 1. That all of the area situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Gran€;e, State of California, described as follows, to wit: The northwest corner of Brookhurst Street and West La Palma Avenues more particularly described as follows: -1- That portion of the southeast quarter (SE') of the southeast quarter (SE4) of Section 6, Towns,ip 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map made by Chas. T. Healey upon a survey by him about 1870 for the Stearns Rancho Company, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of.said Section 6; thence west 686 feet along the south line of said Section 6; thence north 3u0 feet; thence east 686 feet parallel with the south line of said Section 6 to the east line of said Section 6; thence South 300 feet to the point of begin- ning, now is Zone R-A, RESIDENTIAL -AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and that it be changed to, and incorporated in, the following zones, upon the conditions hereinafter set forth: That the easterly 275 feet along West La Palma Avenue be classified at C-2, GENERAL COTOMRCIAL ZONE; and that the balance to the West consist- ing of 411 feet, more or less, be classified as C-1, NEIGHBORHOOD CON1,.ERCIAL ZONE, upon condition that -- 1. The applicants and owners of the property furnish the City of Anaheim a statement to the effect that no buildings will be erected on that portion of the property proposed to be acquired by the California Division of Highways. 2. That the owners of the property deed to the City of Anaheim a 10-foot strip along Brookhurst Street to be used for street widening purposes. SECTION 2. The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is here- by, amended and the property above described shall be excluded from the zone in which it is now situated, and incorporated in and made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted and the City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to the City Zoning Map and inserted in the Anaheim Municipal Code showing the changes hereby approved and adopted. SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force. WILLIAMS, City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 27th day of July, 1954, and that the same was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the loth day of August, 1954, by the following vote of the members thereof: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Schutte, Wisser and Van Wagoner. NOES: COUNCILMEN: None. ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None. AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved and signed said Ordinance on the loth day of August, 1954.
