A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for
road and public utility purposes
and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered
to sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of HOWARD LOUDON and
VICTORIA LOUDON, husband and wife
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for
road and public utility purposes
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over, under
and across the Westerly 32 feet, as measured at right angles
to the centerline of Lemon Street, of those parcels of land
described as follows:
PARCEL ONE: That part of Original Building Lot 4, as shown
on a Map of Anaheim recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of
Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, described
as follows:
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said lot; thence
Northerly along the Westerly line of said lot, 28 1/2 feet;
thence Easterly and parallel with Sycamore Street, 8 1/2 rods
to the Easterly line of said lot; thence Southerly along said
Easterly line 28 1/2 feet to the Southeasterly corner of said
lot; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of said lot and
parallel with said Sycamore Street 8 1/2 rods to the point of
beginning.
ALSO that part of Original Building Lot 8, as shown on a Map
of Anaheim recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of Deeds, re-
cords of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of said lot; thence
Easterly along the Northerly line of said lot and parallel
with Sycamore Street 8 1/2 rods; thence Southerly along the
Easterly line of said lot, 21 1/2 feet; thence Westerly and
parallel with said Sycamore Street 8 1/2 rods to the Westerly
line of said lot; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of
said lot, 21 1/2 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL TWO: That part of Original Building Lot 8 as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of Deeds, records
of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Westerly line of said lot, 21 1/2
feet South of the Northwest corner of said lot; thence Southerly
along said Westerly line 50 feet; thence Easterly and parallel
with Sycamore Street 8 1/2 rods to the Easterly line of said
lot; thence Northerly along said Easterly line 50 feet to a
point 21 1/2 feet Southerly of the Northeasterly corner of said
lot; thence Westerly 8 1/2 rods to the point of beginning.
PARCEL THREE: That portion of Original Building Lot 8 as shown
on a Map of Anaheim, recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of
Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California, described as
follows:
Commencing on the Easterly line of Lemon Street at a point 60
feet from the Northeast corner of Lemon and Adele Streets, running
thence Northerly along the line of Lemon Street 50 feet; thence
Easterly 140 feet; thence Southerly 50 feet; thence Westerly
140 feet to the point of beginning.
For the purpose of this description, the centerline of Lemon
Street is assumed to be the Westerly property line of the above
described parcels.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance of
the City-of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 28th day of January 1969.
