A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRA~T DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAIlliIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASEHENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Councilor the City or Anaheim is
desirous or purchasing the hereinarter described real property
ror municipal purposes, to wit: An easement ror raod and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owner or said property has orrered to sell
and convey the same to the City; and
I~EREAS, the City Councilor the City or Anaheim rinds
that it is ror the benerit and best interest or the City or
Anaheim to accept said ofrer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT RE~OLVED by the City Councilor
the City of Anaheim that the ofrer or LANDS AND BUILDINGS INC.,
a Calirornia corporation, to sell to the City or Anaheim the
following described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County or Orange, State or Calirornia to be used ror an easement
for road and public utility purposes, and more particularly
described as rollows:
An easement ror road and public utility purposes
over, under and across the Northerly 53.00 reet
(as measured at right angles rrom the centerline
or La Palma Avenue) or that parcel or land
described as follows:
That portion or Lot 40 or Anaheim Extension in
the City or Anaheim, County or Orange, State or
Calirornia, as shown on a map or survey by
William hamel, December, 1868, riled in the
orrice or the County Recorder or Los Angeles
County, Calirornia, a copy or which is shown in
Book 3, Page 163, et seq., entitled Los Angeles
County Maps in the of rice or the County Recorder
or said Orange County, and that portion or Block
8 in the Koerrler Tract, as per map recorded in
Book 30, Page 17 or Miscellaneous Records in the
orfice or the County Recorder or Los Angeles
County, Calirornia, described as rollows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner or the land
described in the deed to the Anaheim School
District or Orange County, recorded 1/24/50 in
Book 1957, Page 518 of Orficial Records, being
a point on the Southerly line of the land
described in the deed to Erwin H. W. Kersten,
et ux., recorded 6/4/48 in Book 1647, Page 173
of Orficial Records or said Orange County, South
740 41' 40" West 699.90 reet measured along said
line and its Easterly prolongation rrom the
monumented Centerline of Palm Avenue; thence North
150 21' 00" West parallel with the centerline or
North Citron Street along the Westerly line or said
land described in deed to the Anaheim School
District of Orange County and its Northerly
prolongation to the centerline of West La
Palma Avenue, as shown on said map of Anaheim
Extension; thence South 890 39' 50" West a long
said centerline to a line parallel with and
distant Easterly 320.00 feet measured at right
angles from the centerline of North Citron Street
as per map of Anaheim Extengion; thence along
said parallel line South 15 21' 00" East to a
line parallel with and distant Northerly 245.00
feet measured at right angles from the Southerly
line of the land described in said deed to
Kersten; thence South 740 L~l' 40" West 78.00
feet along said parallel line to a line parallel
with and distant Easterly 242.00 feet measured
at right angles from said centerline of North
Citron Street; thence South 150 21' 00" East
245.00 feet to the Southerly line of the land
described in said deed to Kersten; thence North
7J.j.o 41' 40" East to the point of beginning;
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner of said real property, out of General Funds of the City
of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
thi s 8th day of December , 1959.
